to MAK German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue.  We are a volunteer-based, non-profit organization that works to rescue and rehome German Shorthaired Pointers in need.  We have volunteers, foster homes, and adopters throughout Missouri, Arkansas, and Kansas.

What started as a small group of volunteers in Arkansas in 2009 has blossomed into a three-state rescue network to help save dogs and help families make great matches.

Our Mission

Our mission here at MAK German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome German Shorthaired Pointers.  Our adoption process is a thorough one because we are dedicated to not just finding a home for each dog in our program, but a forever home.  We want each dog we place to find success and each family we place a dog with to find happiness in their new family member, and our volunteers understand that can take time.
